Bronx Native American Festival will be celebrated this Sunday from 12 noon - 4:00 PM in the meadow near the dog run. Join us on 9/25 for storytelling, Native food, dance & music, artists and lots of fun. The Silvercloud drum group and flutist & storyteller Tchin will be back by popular demand.
Deborah Wye, a member of Friends of Pelham Bay Park and curator emerita at the Museum of Modern Art, will present an illustrated talk this Sunday exploring the significance of the distinctive Art Deco and classical features of the Orchard Beach Pavilion and discuss how it can be re-adapted and restored. This special presentation begins at 2:00 PM at the City Island Nautical Museum located at 190 Fordham Street.
Sierra Club volunteers led by Friends member Richard Grayson will travel from far and near to contribute vacation time and do trail work at the Bartow-Pell Mansion from 9/27-9/30. Please stop by and say hello.
