In its 1,500 years of existence, chess has been used as a tool of military strategy, a metaphor for relationships — and a measure of genius.
The game of chess is often quiet. Whether playing in an outdoor park or inside the house or the senate the only racket during a professional match could be the sound of the occasional whisper coming from a member of the audience.
Washington is now the focus of the new board game, which has given the GOP political whiplash after losing control of The White House as well as both houses of Congress.
Now after After four disastrous years, a real American POTUS is ready to acknowledge and face the cascading problems plaguing this country, none of which stands in isolation from the rest. That itself represents a significant and necessary turnaround.
The Republicans had forty-eight hours like no other American political party has ever experienced. They lost The White House, became the minority party in Congress and their US Capitol was invaded. Domestic terrorists got inside it this time. Unlike on 9/11 the time Bin laden who ordered planes to attack our country on 9/11, POTUS orchestrated the attack on our Democracy.
Besides the attack on the US Capital, mother nature appears to have lost the game long ago. Nothing else is left besides a dying planet and a chess piece. Whiplash is needed now before it is too late.
