Cool New York City

Everyone knows The Big Apple is the coolest city on Planet Earth, but did you know what is about to happen today in New York City?

New Yorkers will close out the month of September with Autumn leaves dropping and the Fall feeling in the air. After a chilly start in the 40s and 50s, weather forecasters are only expecting temperatures to rebound into the low-to-mid 60s.

It's not just the coolest day in NYC of the entire week, but the coolest air today that we've seen and felt since the month of May.

Here's the #weather snapshot for this #Thursday, September 30th. The last day of September that will be mostly be tranquil. Heavy rainfall may be possible across the central and southern Plains, especially in #Texas. Meanwhile, a few showers are expected in the Pacific Northwest. Enjoy the day and make it a safe on for you and yours.

The biggest weather story over the next few days across the Lower 48 will be found throughout the central and south-central United States. An advancing cold front that currently extends from the Northern Plains to the Southern Rockies is expected to rush into the Southern Plains before stalling and lingering throughout the Great Plains into the early part of the weekend.
