Crime and Punishment

Over the years, killers, dictators, and liars have become a menace to society, and they paid the ultimate price for their crimes.

crime is an unlawful act punishable by the government or other authority set up in society to enforce the laws passed by legislators. This is not a novel, nor a major motion picture. This is reality playing out in real-time and in our lives and some deaths as well.

Derek Chauvin murdered George Floyd, and will now be sentenced to prison. Chauvin has been in a maximum-security detention facility since a jury found him guilty of second-and third-degree murder and manslaughter. Though he’s a first-time offender, the court ruled that Chauvin must face 22 years, a higher sentence because his crimes involved abusing his position and killing Floyd in the presence of children, among other aggravating factors.

But Chauvin isn't alone, by any means. Anyone who commits serious crimes will be sentenced to equal time behind bars. This applies to everyone who carries out a serious act against humanity, be it the white-collar as well as any other criminals.

Above are Hitler, Mussolini, Franco and Pinochet. These are only a few of the infamous menace to society. How many others will face criminal justice in the future depends on who among else among us thinks they are also above the law.

The German dictator Adolf Hitler was directly responsible for the death of six million Jews and for a particularly bloody world war. When the war ended, in which his country lost, Hitler committed suicide. According to the official version, his remains were cremated at his own request.

Benito Mussolini was shot at the hands of partisans on April 28, 1945. His remains were moved to the Plaza de Loreto in Milan, where the population helped hang his body and that of his wife, Clara Petacci.

The dictator Augusto Pinochet died in 2006 of natural causes and without having fulfilled any type of criminal responsibility for his crimes when he occupied the State through a military dictatorship and a coup d'état.

Francisco Franco was a Spanish general who led the forces overthrowing the Second Spanish Republic during the Spanish Civil War and thereafter ruled over Spain from 1939 to 1975 as a dictator, assuming the title Caudillo. This period in Spanish history, from the Nationalist victory to Franco's death, is commonly known as the Francoist dictatorship.

Now we know why the previous guy publicly renounced his salary and ripped off American taxpayers for more than $1.6 billion under the table and on the side while he was inside The White House and outside playing golf on our dime. What would The United States of America be like if the GOP-led and #Republican protected coup had been allowed to succeed? Folks who know his best say everything that came out of his mouth was actually stupid. Many of us had to spend so much time each and every day covering up for the ridiculous liar, who lied always and twice on Sunday.
