The Day Music Died

Submitted by ub on

On this day, back in 1959, Rock and Roll legends Ritchie Valens, https://youtu.be/CkSfMj8D-7c Buddy Holly,
https://youtu.be/DW5h0ADRXnY and J. P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson, https://youtu.be/OxfCyhS3LYs were killed in a plane crash.

The location was Clear Lake, Iowa, with pilot Roger Peterson, steering the plane that crashed killing Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J.P. "The Big Bopper". Richardson was born and raised in Alta, Iowa, the oldest son of four children to Arthur and Pearl Peter, he had earned his private pilot's license in October 1955. Every pilot has a last flight. Some will know this is the last flight before takeoff and others simply will not. Roger Peterson's last flight was on February 3, 1959, and when he took off, he had no idea this was going to be his last flight. There was also one question that few people have ever asked; what happened to the plane? http://photorecon.net/roger-petersons-last-flight/
