Soto’s career spans broadcast, cable, digital, government, and nonprofit media. He has served as a reporter, anchor, writer, editor, producer, executive producer, news director, station manager, division chief, bureau chief, and, most recently, Head of Content and Data Strategy for AP Television News (North America).
He has led or helped launch major media operations, including NBC News, Univision, Telemundo, Voice of America (TV Martí), News 12 NYC, and Associated Press Television News, where he integrated analytics, audience insights, and community resource aggregation into newsroom decision-making.
His leadership reflects a deep commitment to journalism’s core mission: giving voice to diverse communities and pursuing truth with integrity, while continuously modernizing storytelling through technology and innovation.
