A father figure conjures up a special image of a well respected elderly man who is an emotional rock and radiates paternal qualities.
Happy Father’s Day to every wonderful DaD and all father figures alive today. I realize it's not an easy being a father figure as a biological, spiritual, or any other qualities we expect from father.
All anyone needs to do is watch every move, including their words and character without realizing the impact or inspiration it has on others, whether indirectly or directly improving lives. Can fatherhood be taught? My father may be gone, but Papi or Antoñiquito as many others called him will never ever be forgotten.
I was born in Cuba, the cradle of injustice in America, so the Castro Brothers were never father figures. Who is the USA's living father figure? It surely is not POTUS. Phrases from enablers who say "He’s new at this, He’s joking' or That’s just Trump" have been used too much, nor is it Obama because our nation is now way too divided for either of them.
Could it be our longest living President, who just celebrated another birthday? What about a Supreme Court Justice? But certainly, not Rudy or Mitch, Maddog, Jeff or any other elderly types who may consider themselves to be wise, but these so-called leaders have now lead us into the finest mess our nation has found itself in a really long time.
What about The Pope? The church has also found itself in a difficult situation. While American society becomes severely fractured under stress, will religion be enough to help us overcome our incivility and abhorrent behavior?
We need to practice the words in The Bible, So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him. In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the prophets. Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
