The President once called Mar-a-Lago his Florida White House, but since a devastating hurricane slammed into the panhandle region, POTUS has been too busy to visit it or comfort any of the hundred thousands forgotten Floridians.
With nearly one million Americans without power through the region, #Trump keeps holding ridiculous rallies after the storm slammed the #USA coast even though he had previously criticized #POTUS44 for campaigning weeks after Hurricane Sandy. He has a very short memory, or does he not care for these Americans?
Hurricane Michael's death toll continues to climb as search-and-rescue crews keep sifting through the wreckage of once-bustling oceanside cities, like Mexico Beach and Panama City Beach, four days after the storm came ashore.
Mexico Beach was largely decimated when Michael made landfall there Wednesday as a Category 4 storm with maximum sustained winds of 155 mph. Meanwhile, Trump has held as many rallies or events in an attempt to move the focus from Florida.
Has Trump abandoned the Sunshine State? His trips to Florida conjure up images of packed parties, golf outings and millionaire yachts sailing nearby bustling beaches, but for a growing group of Americans, it’s their state’s abandoned places that are no longer the President's focus. And his lack of interest may not be apparently limited to Floridians. Hurricane Michael's destruction wasn't limited to the Florida coast https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2018/10/13/hurricane-mic…
