Superstar comic and TV personality Bill Cosby’s sex assault conviction has been overturned by Pennsylvania's highest court.
William Henry Cosby Jr. is an American stand-up comedian, actor, musician, author, and convicted sex offender, who has been incarcerated for a couple of years.
It was just one month ago that Cosby was denied parole by the Pennsylvania Parole Board, which cited a number of reasons for its decision.
However, today Cosby’s sex assault conviction was thrown out after finding that an agreement with a previous prosecutor prevented him from being charged.
The 83-year-old comedian has already served more than two years in prison. City Images made attempts to reach him in prison but to no avail.
Why is this big news? Every legal eagle and former federal prosecutors are claiming this is court action is extremely rare and unprecedented.
Critics argue that this is the real reason why women hesitate to come forward about sexual assault, in case it is still unclear.
I shared better time with Bill before his son’s death and conviction. We met inside his NYC brownstone and we enjoyed listening to jazz together, but thankfully I am not his type. NBC News NABET Union crew made sure the interview was fit for broadcast.
