DJT GOP SPY?

Submitted by ub on

Is the Republican former guy a GOP spy? He is investigated under Espionage Act, with Top Secret SCI documents taken from him.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation search shows agents recovered 11 sets of classified documents from its search, including some materials marked as Top Secret SCI. This is one of the highest levels of classification. Does this mean that Mar-a-Lago is a national security risk?

Federal investigators identify three crimes that the Justice Department is looking at in the probe:

  • violations of the Espionage Act
  • obstruction of justice
  • criminal handling of government records.

The former guy and his allies have conflicting defenses of his classified documents, without addressing why he held on to them. He stole nuclear-related documents from the US government. In the past DOJ has prosecuted this crime as Capital Espionage. This means he is a foreign spy and he may be charged despite his lies. He is under investigation for several violations of the Espionage Act and illegally keeping "Top Secret" government files when he left the White House last year. This is truly a worst-case scenario for Americans.

This egomaniac crook is desecrating American democracy, tearing the USA apart for his own benefit. Republicans keep sending fund-raising emails ranting about the search of Mar-a-Lago. Trump’s attorney says Trump family members watched and legal representatives watched the FBI search of Mar-a-Lago on surveillance cameras, further dashing the former guy’s claims that agents likely “planted” any evidence that was taken.

Whatever their contents, the records are the basis of a probe that involves criminal statutes of obstruction of justice and the Espionage Act.

The family got $2 billion from the Saudis not because they’re world-class investors. It smells of access and it's a national security problem.

He made clear to several people that he saw the NARA-requested documents as his personal property. When speaking about his correspondence with his BFF Kim Jong-un,  reportedly said, “They’re mine.”

These types of documents aren’t just around. The former guy would have to go way out of his way to steal top secret documents. This is not the USA in 1860, or 1930, nor a Hollywood Spy Thriller. It is 2022 and this is as real and scandalous as it gets in America 🇺🇸.

He came into office attacking law enforcement and America's intelligence community. He wasted his presidency doing the same. Now, over a year out of office, the law enforcement and intelligence community have spoken.

Legal experts are praising the #DOJ tactical move in selecting statutes for the search. None of the crimes cited require the documents to be classified. Any defense claims that he declassified the documents is irrelevant. Trump supporters may weep and wail, but an FBI probe may soon put him in jail.

Finally, this from an editorial published Saturday in Missouri’s St. Louis Post-Dispatch called out former President Donald Trump’s well-documented distaste for reading, posing the question: “Why would an ex-president who doesn't read want boxes of documents at his home?” https://www.stltoday.com/opinion/editorial/editorial-why-would-an-ex-pr… #DONews https://local.doseofnews.com/
