The Sheen Center for Thought and Culture will host a panel discussion on forgiveness in response to gun violence, entitled “Gun Violence and the Police: A New York Perspective,” this Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at 7:30pm.

The event features Former New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly and NYPD officer Steven McDonald, who was shot in the line of duty and left paralyzed, in 1986. Detective McDonald will share his journey of healing and forgiveness in the face of violence and tragedy. Magee Hickey from PIX -11 TV will moderate the 45-minute panel discussion which will also include Detective McDonald’s wife, Patti Ann McDonald and his son, Conor McDonald. The panel discussion will be followed by a question and answer session.
