Meanwhile, the atmospheric cold weather will become bitter this week with high winds and snow. Forecasters say that temperatures will decrease steadily colder during the week, with some snow on the horizon.

Winds will range from 20 to 30 mph on several days. The temperature will drop to below 20 leading into Tuesday. Frigid temperatures will push into the Midwest, Great Lakes and Northeast behind an arctic cold front. Wind Chill Warnings and Advisories are in effect.

The freezing temperature could rise on Friday from mid-20s and there's a potential drop to below 20 again on Friday night.
