These important words, inspiration and aspiration, and motivation are different and distinct. They are often used interchangeably, but should never be.
The reason why I bring it up at this time is that as schools are wrapping up one of the most difficult academic years ever, it is time to reflect and learn the difference between them.
It is important to draw a clearer distinction. Inspiration is the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something.
Aspiration on the other hand is hope or ambition towards achieving something especially rewarding.
Lastly, what explains why people or animals initiate, continue or terminate a certain behavior at a particular time. Motivation is understood as a force acting within the agent that creates a disposition to engage in goal-directed behavior.
Finally, let us keep in mind that they have one thing in common. They may both require a high degree of personal motivation and perhaps some necessary perspiration, dedication, and a few others before we take an earned vacation.
As adjectives the difference between inspirational and aspirational. is that inspirational is having the quality to inspire while aspirational is being ambitious.
