Trump Republican confidant Steve Bannon has reportedly been indicted for refusing a subpoena and a warrant issued for his arrest.
Bannon is a political strategist, and former investment banker, who served as the Trump White House during the first seven months of Trump's term. However House Democrats say he doesn't 'understand executive privilege' and will pay dearly.
A longtime ally of Donald Trump, he was indicted on two counts of criminal contempt of Congress after he defied a subpoena from the US House committee investigating the Capitol insurrection. The Justice Department charged Bannon with two counts of contempt of Congress. Each count is punishable by up to a year in prison, with a minimum sentence of one month behind bars.
