The media bundle isn’t quite dead yet, but it is showing signs of weakness. Those around it, meanwhile, are already agitating for change. A bundle is industry-speak for the way cable and film companies have gotten away with the packaging and selling huge blocks of cable channels and movies for decades.

A couple of years ago the major motion picture “Frozen” was the highest-grossing animated movie of all time and it helped give Disney its most successful year. That placed the media giant in a strong position to cope with the eventual shake-up in bundle distribution.
