Forecasters are warning that the big one is headed this way. They say the blizzard could be a potentially historic, and may possibly have a crippling effect on the area.
The powerful storm system is getting to pound the Northeast within the next 24 hours with the possibility of up to 30 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.
Up to 3 feet if snow and the storm will continue Monday night into Tuesday and possibly into early Wednesday. The blizzard may also bring wind gusts of up to 65 miles per hour.
The stage is being set for a major nor'easter to affect parts of the Northeast Monday through Wednesday. This system will be responsible for heavy snowfall and strong winds, with blizzard conditions possible along coastal areas from New Jersey to Massachusetts. Blizzard Warnings are in effect along the coast from central New Jersey to the Canadian border.
