No Body Cares?

No life is free of hardship and folks know that all too well. But some know it more than others. The fabric of American life was almost torn apart in 1968. 2018 may test the world fabric as more nations follow the path to autocracy.

An autocracy allows supreme national power to one person, and their decisions are subject to neither external legal restraints nor regularized mechanisms of popular control. However, a nation divided against itself may make up which may no longer flourish.

Dictators are not limited only to men. These are some of the most infamous autocratic leaders in history.
Genghis Khan
King Henry VIII
Queen Elizabeth I
Napoleon Bonaparte
Father Junipero Serra
Queen Isabella I

The following are examples of autocratic governments. But the most peculiar ones are Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cuba, Eritrea, Kazakhstan, Laos, North Korea, Oman, Iran, Russia, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Venezuela, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, United Arab Emirates...and now China?

The nations listed above will be hard pressed to agree their power is total and all-consuming, but there are many instances where this leadership style is problematic. People who abuse an autocratic leadership are bossy, controlling and dictatorial, which can lead to resentment among the masses.

Because autocratic leaders make decisions without consulting the group, people in the group may dislike that they are unable to contribute ideas. It also found that autocratic leadership often results in a lack of creative solutions to problems, which can ultimately hurt the group from performing and can thus impair the morale of the group.
