NYC Cops say they're cracking down in response to citizen gripes about unsafe cyclists riding on city sidewalks.
A lot of this comes from community feedback and complaints. This is a quality-of-life issue, with Bronx cyclists having received 1,130 tickets. Cycling advocates say NYPD should focus on the most hazardous offenses when going after pedal-pushers.
