Most everyone has had a bad experience with a crazy uncle. He’s the one who claims the virus will go away soon and now we have millions of cases. He claims to have invented Christmas, or tells the same stories again and again about discovering that President Abe Lincoln was a Republican.
Some Support that crazy uncle but most don’t and know about him from the media on TV. However, if the “crazy uncle” is ruining the nation it becomes our problem.
When a crazy uncle is in charge and out of touch with what is really going on, like Nero fiddling while Rome burned. He will discuss his vision for the future while the people in the country keep getting sick and dying and the treasury is running out of money. He will say things are great when everyone knows they are not.
Put it all together and the crazy uncle in charge makes for a leader who is ignored and creates a void at the top when leadership is most needed.
Americans see this happening in real time and wonder what’s to say or do...
- Ignore him and hope that other senior leaders are aware and filling the void.
- Hope that some one with sense will intervene. Or, talk to others and do an intervention before it’s too late.
- Create workarounds. Keep him out of everything you do to be successful.
Unfortunately, the crazy uncle surrounds himself with like thinkers and we may be dealing with an entire team of wackos. These crazy uncles almost always makes things more complex, but never more successful.
Vote, like our lives depend on our crazy uncle coming to his senses any time soon before it’s too late, but don’t hold your breath.
