My late dad AJ Soto, II was a good man and a human being of great integrity. He once had money and left it behind fleeing from the Cuban revolution. He instead chose to leave the communist island to save his family and forgo riches by serving as a social worker when our family came to the USA. My mother and father became Bing Crosby fans because of the following song. The message is to appreciate unexpected benefits, which I remember hearing again and again that famous phrase, "everything happens for a reason." Believe it or not, I just found a heads up penny.
My family had what I like to refer to as practical faith. We are not overtly religious. We strongly believe that everything happens for a reason. Ten years after earning my advanced degree, my dad passed away and years later, so did my mom and then my oldest brother. Although I felt devastated, I covered pain by throwing myself into work. However, I still get a funny feeling and have fond memories while listening to the original and still the greatest.

When doubt and despair surround earthly air when anger and hatred destroy what is sacred when all the world seems a miserable place a penny from heaven put a smile on my face. On one side is a great man of vision on the other a sign of divine intervention a penny from heaven sent from above is a constant reminder of heavenly love.
Over the years I have come across many wonderful surprises. One day, I had an interesting thought: How do I know these are from my mom Margarita? They could just as well be from my dad Antonio.
Some believe that our deceased loved ones leave signs like pennies and other gifts in our paths. They usually leave them in the most unusual places, on a regular basis. Thanks, Mami, and Papi. aka Tata and Aby... I love you and miss you very much.
I just found a dime, a nickel and a penny!
