American Voters in Pennsylvania and Tennessee not only determine the outcome of two special elections today but if Democrats are able to flip any of many disappointed Trump supporters, it may be an ominous sign for The GOP.
Polling results indicate a tight race between Democrat Conor Lamb and Republican Rick Saccone in Pennsylvania’s conservative 18th district. Republicans have spent millions of dollars to stop the seat vacated by US Representative Tim Murphy from turning blue though President Trump threw what they hope is his significant weight behind Saccone at a rally over the weekend.
Speaking for all Americans and for over an hour POTUS called the newly announced tariffs, which may launch the US into a trade ward his “baby,” then suggested executing drug dealers, described a US journalist as a “sleeping son of a bitch,” and called a black, democratically elected members of Congress “low IQ.” Has he forgotten what he swore to do? "I do solemnly affirm that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
In a Tennessee state race, Democrat Gayle Jordan will find out if an atheist can win public office in the Bible belt. Jordan is running against GOP Shane Reeves for a state senate seat.
Strategists from both parties are eyeing these races as potential indicators for how the November midterm elections will unfold.
