The Picture House calendar is overflowing with great events over the next few weeks, but before we even talk about that, there's a very exciting new development we want to share with you: TICKETS ARE NOW CHEAPER!
Tickets to all of our programs are now available for advanced purchase, and if you take advantage of the advance sale option, your tickets will be several dollars less expensive than at-the-door. Advanced sales end 24 hours before each screening.

The 11th Annual Westchester Italian Film Festival runs Oct 14-16. The selection of new films from Italy is phenomenal and this will be your only chance to see them play anywhere in the area. See below for the full schedule and get your tickets today!
We're also thrilled to be hosting John Landis Week from Oct 14-20, with Mr. Landis himself in person on Oct 18. John Landis is responsible for some of the biggest films of the past 35 years, including: Animal House, Blues Brothers, Coming to America, Three Amigos, An American Werewolf in London and Michael Jackson's Thriller! Beloved director John Landis (National Lampoon’s Animal House, Blues Brothers, Coming to America, Michael Jackson’s Thriller) will present a special 30th Anniversary presentation of AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON at The Picture House, followed by a discussion of the film and his enduring interest in movie monsters. He will also discuss and sign copies of his stunning, just-released book, “Monsters in The Movies: 100 Years of Cinematic Nightmares,” which will be available for purchase that evening.
The Picture House will also be honoring John Landis’ work all week long with screenings of two other seminal classics by the American auteur: NATIONAL LAMPOON’S ANIMAL HOUSE and BLUES BROTHERS.

THE GUARD

The Guard is a comedic fish-out-of-water tale of murder, blackmail, drug trafficking and rural police corruption. Two policemen must join forces to take on an international drug- smuggling gang - one, an unorthodox Irish policeman and the other, a straightlaced FBI agent. Sergeant Gerry Boyle (Brendan Gleason) is an eccentric small-town cop with a confrontational and crass personality and a subversive sense of humor. A longtime policeman in County Galway, Boyle is a maverick with his own moral code. He has seen enough of the world to know there isn't much to it and has had plenty of time to think about it. When a fellow police officer disappears and Boyle's small town becomes key to a large drug trafficking investigation, he is forced to at least feign interest when dealing with the humorless FBI agent Wendell Everett (Don Cheadle) assigned to the case.
