A National Call for Moral Revival is underway in a 40-day operation of civil disobedience, protests and teach-ins is a nationwide effort to refocus the nation's moral agenda and elevate a failing fight against poverty.

As America grows more diverse and more polarized, its moral compass is more difficult to tune to into, with no particular voice emerging as an authority.

The Poor People's March on Washington was organized to gain economic justice for US poor people. Organized by Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, under the leadership of Ralph Abernathy in the wake of King's assassination.
