First of all, sincere and well-deserved congratulations to @Oprah on receiving the Cecil B. de Mille Award at the #GoldenGlobes! Who else was greatly inspired by her speech? #MondayMotivation
Oprah Winfrey is an American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist and from the looks of it, may decide to run against another media personality. She has been poor and is now rich and no thanks to daddy. She is a self-made billionaire, who pays taxes, who can read, who shares her wealth, who has a grasp of the issues and offers a mass appeal beyond race & gender. This icon is the queen of media and extremely intelligent, not like really smart and much more colorful than any of the others.
We have seen movie stars and celebrities become public servants, with some reaching the Governor's mansion and The Whitehouse and most recently one got elected without winning the popular vote. But does America want another media celebrity to lead? We will find out in due time. What says you, is it yes, or No Prah?
Here is how it occurred during last night's telecast on NBC.
“In 2011, I told some jokes about our current president, at the White House Correspondents Dinner. Jokes about how he was unqualified to be president,” Meyers quipped. “Some have said that night convinced him to run. So if that’s true, I just want to say: Oprah, you will never be president! You do not have what it takes!”
