Prey On The US

Why does POTUS Prey On The US? He had an opportunity to pray for healing America but allowed federal public safety officers to fire tear gas on peaceful protesters. Why the interest so that he could hold a photo opportunity In front of the church, not reading The Holy Bible but using it as a prop? No religious person American allows peaceful protestors to be shot with tear gas so he may grandstand in front of this church holding The Holy Bible.

If he can not or does not have anything constructive to say while he is holding The Holy Bible, he should just open it and learn.

Since actions speak louder than words, consider the following sequence. One week earlier, Trump demanded that houses of worship be open, and that very same Sunday, he then chose to go and play ⛳️ GOLF.

After calling Putin, he then chose to attack Americans who were protesting peacefully Just to stand alone in front of a church without the consent of the Bishop. What does this really mean, or this is just simply mean spirited? Take a close look at his left hand. Besides Trump’s tiny fingers, is this the white power signal?

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
forever and ever.
Amen.

Did Trump call his Russian confessor to ask for advice or forgiveness?

The Holy Bible Verses

2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

James 5:16 - Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Psalm 145:18 - The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

Proverbs 15:29 - The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.

Romans 8:26 - In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through our wordless groans.

Philippians 4:6-7 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 64:8 - But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.

John 3:16 - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

1 John 5:1 - Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him.

Mark 11:24 - Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Luke 11:9 - And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

1 Timothy 2:1-4 - First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

In God We Trust

‘ The President of the United States stood in front of St. John’s Episcopal Church, lifted up a bible, and had pictures of himself taken. In so doing, he used a church building and the Holy Bible for partisan political purposes. This was done in a time of deep hurt and pain in our country, and his action did nothing to help us or to heal us.

The bible teaches us that “God is love.” Jesus of Nazareth taught, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” The prophet Micah taught that the Lord requires us to “do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God.”

The bible the President held up and the church that he stood in front of representing the values of love, of justice, of compassion, and of a way to heal our hurts.

We need our President, and all who hold office, to be moral leaders who help us to be a people and nation living these values. For the sake of George Floyd, for all who have wrongly suffered, and for the sake of us all, we need leaders to help us to be “one nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all.”  Episcopal Church Presiding Bishop Michael Curry:
