Restraint is the act of self-control, which is not only a virtue but a blessing during these trying and hate-filled times that we have been exposed to.
On this Sunday, let's listen to and talk about a monk. Thelonious Monk was an artist who made restraint the beauty that we don't see but must always be on the lookout look for.

Another one was Fats Domino, whose low-key brilliance made him a rock and roll pioneer and was also overlooked. http://thebea.st/2zPIiFM Fat's Essential Songs http://rol.st/2zE777y
During The Monk's last tour, he didn't say 'Good morning,' 'Goodnight,' 'What time?' Nothing. He sent word back after the tour was over that the reason he couldn't communicate was that Art Blakey and I were so ugly. I never met Monk, but I had the pleasure of meeting Art Blakey. That's for another day. In the meantime here is some of his music anyway. Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers - Moanin' https://youtu.be/Cv9NSR-2DwM
Should we now agree to try and be low key and practice restraint?
