Reversing Voting Wrongs

POTUS issues an urgent call to protect the constitutional right to vote and safeguard the integrity of USA democratic elections.

Back in 2006, US Senators unanimously reauthorized the Voting Rights Act. However, today, only one #Republican senator supports it. And none of them has endorsed the Freedom to Vote Act. Therefore unless they do something about the filibuster, #WeThePeople must fight our sacred right to vote.

President Biden's remarks come on the heels of his blunt post-mortem on the January 6 2021 mob attack on Capitol Hill, come as he prepares a bruising fight over voting rights legislation that has stalled in the US Senate.

The new election laws will make it much more difficult for 55 million #Americans to cast their ballots.

Joe Biden's choice of Georgia for a major voting rights address is no accident. The state has a rich history entwined with the struggle for civil rights – one that activists warn is under assault. When Biden beat Trump in the state by less than 12,000 votes in 2020, the state became one of the first to put in place more restrictive voting laws.
