RUSSIA, Russia, russia

The White House was reportedly ready to announce that it was Russia that was responsible for the massive cyber attack but it was immediately shot down. Advisers close to POTUS are afraid to even say the word Russia around him for fear that will set him off and erupt in uncontrollable anger. Don’t forget Remember that Trump gave Russia a free-passes for committing a massive cyber-attack on America's most sensitive systems.

Is he a useful idiot, an ass, et all, or maybe a paid Russian asset? Several members of his own Cabinet, have not only called him names in the past but are now speaking up including the US Secretary of State and Attorney General who are publicly saying that Russia was behind the huge cyberattack on federal government agencies

Do you recall Trump laughing it up in the Oval Office with Russians Lavrov and Kislyak just months after they attacked the 2016 election to help him win. POTUS said he wasn’t worried about it. This was surrender and betrayal from the beginning. Then at the Helsinki press conference, all signs pointed to Putin owning him. That's been clear and it will stop in a few weak weeks.

in political jargon, a useful idiot is a derogatory term for a person perceived as propagandizing for a cause without fully comprehending the cause's goals, and who is cynically used by the cause's leaders. However, for years we have been hearing from inner circle Washington folks, including Republican lobbyists, GOP pundits, even Congressional members of The Grand Old party that he is remarkably stupid.

Whatever the case, this has got to stop now before more damage is done. Even his Treasury Secretary, who has reportedly called him names in the past is now admitting that Russia was behind the hacks of US agencies, yet Trump is calling the hack a hoax and pressuring associates to downplay its significance. What does Russia have on Trump? What does Trump want from Russia?

Meanwhile, as the 30th anniversary of the collapse of the Soviet Union approaches. Next year could also be the year that a serious fight for Russia's parliament. Just like Trump, Vladimir Putin's approval ratings and his legitimacy are steadily declining. The poisoning of Alexei Navalny, Russia's main opposition leader, seems like a sign of desperation. Navalny's vision of Russia as a modern nation-state could prove to be more appealing than Putin’s Soviet-style imperial nationalism.

The bottom line is that President-elect Joe Biden will have his hands full come January 21, 2021, and everyone should help.
