Seasonable Weather Madness

Severe thunderstorms are possible today over portions of the southern United States. Colder weather is expected across much of the central and eastern United States by the end of the week, with high temperatures near or slightly below normal for this time of year. WHAT?

A double-whammy cold front from Canada will bring the mercury into the low 30s tomorrow night, with some of the coldest weather of the month and possibly a snowstorm just in time for the start of spring.

TEXAS TO SOUTHERN ALABAMA AND THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE TODAY. OTHER STRONG STORMS WITH GUSTY WINDS AND SMALL HAIL MIGHT OCCUR OVER PORTIONS OF NEW ENGLAND.

A small system moving through the region Thursday night will join a “stronger front” Friday that will drop temperatures from 58 degrees during the day to a chilly 29 degrees by nightfall, Pydynowski said.

The cold blast, which could be the last of the season, will persist throughout the weekend.

The unseasonably warm winter has brought signs of spring to New York earlier than usual as cherry blossom trees are already blooming at the Botanical Garden.
