This is the Middle East, and everyone could, would and should be extra extra cautious.
The word show has alternatives: display, exhibit, demonstrate, present, illustrate, reveal, and showcase. 

Other synonyms include words like spectacle, production, or performance for a live event, and pretense, facade, or illusion for a deceptive meaning.

  • Demonstrate: To show how something works or to prove a point.
  • Present: To introduce or make something known.
  • Illustrate: To make something clearer, often with examples.
  • Reveal: To make something known that was previously hidden.
  • Showcase: To feature something in a way that highlights its best qualities.
  • Spectacle: A public show, or display, that is impressive or exciting.
  • Production: A play, film, or television program.
  • Performance: A public presentation of a play, musical piece, or other entertainment.
  • Exposition: A public exhibition of works of art or items of interest.
  • Pretense: An attempt to make something that is not the case appear true.
  • Facade: A deceptive outward appearance.
  • Illusion: A deceptive appearance or impression.
