If people who are in a relationship do not trust each other, it arouses especially mutual indifference in one another where there had formerly been a trusting situation. This turns into a fake relationship. Do you remember when politics was a public service and a true form of charity?
This usually occurs when one individual consistently lies and deceives, thereby eroding confidence. For example, Donald John's excessive lies gradually estranged him from the voters and he became strange to the majority of the nation.
Although there is a documented record of the lies when the other side makes claims, he never backs them up with solid facts. He keeps exaggerating, distorting and, or flat-out lying. The reality is that those who voted for an impeached Donald Trump. They never thought he was an honest guy. They knew he was lying about his wealth and alleged golf championships or more important, his conduct with women. They didn't care, but that will not matter in November when the silent majority turns out at the polls.
The result, one side takes action An estranged partner takes steps to become separated from them. Like when one is no longer living with or beliving in the other, then they are considered estranged.
