A new Twist on taking our child to work, today my nephew brought me to his worksite of sorts. You see, my wife's little sister and her husband are researchers living on campus at Einstein Medical Center, so I hung out with their adorable 2-year old son, Mathew Pai, a little big guy.
Today's theme was Workforce Development For All. It was to empower youth through inspired personal development careers. This year was about essential workforce building activities that empower young people to effect positive change within their communities, schools, and homes. This kid learned first hand how to show others that they can have impactful discussions on the importance of developing workplace skills.
Participating in workplaces, school, nonprofits, and families, all had the opportunity to reveal their recipe for building teams. This helps young people contribute to the communities they serve.
Therefore. Maty and I decided to hang outdoors and engage in conversations with many medical students and researchers.
The highlight of this experience was when one person asked if he was my son, but I replied... I wish, he's my nephew.
We met many people from different nations and background and they all agreed that Matty Pai is a really cool guy.
