Congratulations to our City Island neighbors Arlene and Josue Rivera. They had to take a #COVID test, wait for the results, and then travel to Miami, to board a connecting flight to get married at a Caribbean island paradise. Interestingly enough, days earlier the couple said there was no way they would take the virus test sighting safely and security reasons.
The happy couple traveled to Antigua from NYC to tie the knot at the famed Sandals Resort. The paradise of Antigua is a gorgeous sovereign state in the West Indies of the Americas, lying between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
Here we see the newly married couple enjoying the warm calm waters and the equator's stars that are bright in the sky and different from the vague constellations either one of them could stitch together through guesswork while gazing at the skies over City Island, NYC, New York.
Enjoying these lovely images reminds me why everyone loves to travel, why on instinct we go to the beach to listen to the surf, and the happy voices of children playing in the sand.
Just as the sensation of sunlight on your back is difficult to put into words, those sounds are also hard to describe. But they are also absolute. How many affirmations do we make as children that end up being, unbeknownst to us at the time, memories of a life's journey?
May Josue and Arlene enjoy many more years of happiness together forever. As I reminded the groom. A happy life comes with a happy wife.
