Frankly, many people are sick and tired of this time change crap. The time change returns the U.S. to standard time on Sunday, March 8, when we change clocks again and “Spring ahead” one hour.
Oddly, standard time isn’t all that standard – daylight saving time lasts from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November, meaning we observe daylight saving longer than the standard time.
Seven states reportedly do not like it – Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee, and Washington – want to make daylight saving time permanent but need federal approval to do so. Some New England states want to make a new time zone one hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time.
