Toasting Butter

Submitted by ub on

Some folks enjoy buttering their toast in the morning, but my sweetheart prefers to toast her butter by spreading lots of it on her toast.

Buttered toast is one of the easiest grab-and-go meals you can make. My daughter prefers to spread avocado on hers, but my wife really piles the butter on so I say that she is eating butter with toast, instead of the other way around,

Anyone can jazz toast up with some jam or jelly, or keep things plain and simple. Making toast isn't just geared towards the toaster either.

Most classically served as part of a full breakfast is a slice of bread pan-fried in butter, oil, or lard. Fried bread also allows for both sides of the bread to crisp—it’s basically a grilled cheese or pressed sandwich without all those pesky fillings. Some may be inclined to treat fried bread like those oh-so-trendy flashy toasts and top it with pastel-dyed cream cheese, but we really don’t recommend it for calory counters.
