I read the news today that singer and songwriter #PaulSimon joined the trend of monetizing his old songs as an entire catalog, Simon says he sold them to Sony Music Publishing.
Paul Simon may have successfully sold his entire catalog to Sony for millions, but he will still be a historical footnote to Bob Dylan.
However, it reminded me of the day I was working at NBC News and I took an unexpected elevator ride with this famous composer. I suddenly asked him if he would be willing to stay for a Radio interview with Dara Wells from The Source. I am in the process of digitizing the audio gem.
