The cold weather continues, with a winter weather advisory in effect ... 1P UNTIL 2A EST SUNDAY.

* LOCATIONS...NEW YORK CITY...LONG ISLAND...PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHEASTERN CONNECTICUT...AND PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY.

* HAZARD TYPES...SNOW AND FREEZING RAIN.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 2 TO 4 INCHES...ALONG WITH A TRACE OF ICE.

* VISIBILITIES...ONE QUARTER TO ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL FALL INTO EARLY THIS EVENING...THEN TRANSITIONS TO A MIXTURE OF SNOW AND FREEZING RAIN THIS EVENING... AND THEN MIXES WITH...THEN CHANGES TO RAIN INTO THE EARLY MORNING HOURS.

* IMPACTS...SNOW COVERED ROADS COATED WITH ICE WILL MAKING DRIVING AND WALKING HAZARDOUS.
