As a former GM/15-10 at USIA Voice of America at #USA foreign policy media managing director communicating with foreign nations in these countries' native languages, I understand the process first hand. I served as the temporary stepfather for FAT ALBERT

It was Tuesday, June 16, 1992, while I was working for US President was George H. W. Bush (Republican). During that fateful week of June people in the US were listening to I'll Be There (Live-Unplugged) by Mariah Carey. A-League of Their Own, directed by Penny Marshall, was one of the most viewed movies released in 1992 while Who Will Tell The People by William Greider was one of the best selling books. But much more happened that day.

While on assignment to Cudjoe Key, I stopped to make a phone call wand upon my return my rented vehicle had been broken into and my briefcase was stolen. My personal auto was parked in front of my home in Washington DC and that too was broken into during the same time period. Casefile 92-11554  https://youtu.be/88yEHZUl4pU

The tethered Air Force blimp was known as “Fat Albert” as it hovered over Cudjoe Key end its flight to nowhere.

US Military activated Cudjoe Key as an Air Force Station in 1959. It was to track missiles traveling through the Eglin Gulf Test Range. The Air Force then took over operations and, it became a detached installation of Homestead Joint Air Reserve Base.[4] The station flies a white radar aerostat. It is known locally as "Fat Albert". This is used for missions. On April 20, 2007, a Cessna 182 crashed after its left-wing struck the tether anchoring "Fat Albert"  The aerostat is marked on air navigation charts inside a restricted area. The area has the warning, "Caution: Unmarked balloon on a cable to 14,000

VOA journalists carry the world on their shoulders. They see, on a daily basis, the stories that need to be told and understand the responsibility of telling them accurately and without bias.

We served at the pleasure of the president. However, America's foreign policy mouth is now preventing speech, and restraining it by force and being silent. VOA employees say there are discussions about a sizable shakeup coming at the agency that may include former White House officials and right-wing personalities.
