Mint Mojito vs Mint Lemonade

Ingredients 

  • 200g (½ cup) sugar
  • 250ml (1 cup) water, divided into 2
  • 160ml (⅔ cup) fresh lemon juice
  • 15g (½ cup) mint leaves
  • 420g (3 cups) ice cubes

Preparation

  1. Add the sugar and 125ml (½ cup) water in a saucepan.
  2. Heat over a medium heat till the sugar is dissolved, and then cool.
  3. Add the cooled syrup, 125ml (½ cup) water, 160ml (⅔  cup) lemon juice, fresh mint and ice cubes into the blender. Blend until smooth.
  4. Pour into cups and enjoy!

Mojitos are traditional Cuban highballs. The cocktail consists of five ingredients: white rum, sugar, lime juice, soda water, and mint. Its combination of sweetness, citrus, and herbaceous mint flavors is intended to complement the rum, and has made the mojito a popular summer drink. 

Ingredients

1 1/2 oz White rum, 1 oz Fresh lime juice, 2 teaspoons Sugar, 6 leaves of Mint, Soda Water

Preparation

Mint sprigs muddled with sugar and lime juice. Rum added and topped with soda water. Garnished with a sprig of mint leaves. Served with a straw.
