THE JAZZ VOICE

Submitted by ub on

Generations of South Florida audiences have grown up listening to WDNA-FM, and now the Jazz station is planning a signal increase.

Whatever you do, and whereever you are make sure WDNA is never too far. For a long time, one of the greatest Jazz stations in America has been there and on the air  to fill the gaps across the Sunshine State. Now, it plans to increase its over-the-air coverage by moving its antenna, and since it is also available online at https://wdna.org/, serious jazz fans can enjoy it everywhere on Earth.

For almost 50 years, WDNA has been the jazz voice of South Florida, 88.9 on your FM dial, while driving in the car. Listen on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or PC.

As far as the board members are concerned, “ it’s a long time coming.” The Directors have always had the desire to increase WDNA’s audience and offer serious Jazz to more listeners on as many platforms possible.

WDNA FM is a class C2 listener-supported public radio station operating on 88.9 MHz in Miami, Florida, licensed in 1977 by the FCC to the Bascomb Memorial Broadcasting Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization. WDNA is South Florida’s first public radio station not run by any government agency.

Jazz is in America’s DNA. The station’s format is a mix of straight-ahead jazz, Latin jazz, world music, and jazz information content.
