A third federal judge has now ruled against the Trump administration's plan to ask about citizenship in the 2020 US Census.
Since 1790, the mission of the #USA Census has been to ensure that each person counts to provide equitable representation and allocation of resources. The genius of the Census is that it allows the EE. UU Empower our people to exercise their individual and collective political power, and it was never the intention to arm or instill fear in the residents of our nation. The essence of the inclusion principle, counting everyone, will be put in jeopardy if a citizenship question is added to the census. This question will be used to intimidate, creating a culture that demonizes immigrants. And it will do so at the cost of undermining the needs of all US residents.

We must demand a fair and accurate count for all communities. The #USA demographic changes require that this Census be as accurate as possible to determine a fair and proportional vote representation and to ensure that $ 800 billion in federal funds is equitably allocated in the next decade.
The Year 2010 lost close to one million children under the age of five, including a high percentage of Latino children. This insufficient count of young children resulted in states losing billions of dollars in federal funds.
Today, those children, whose states did not receive adequate funding, are about to start high school. During the last decade, their communities have not received their fair share of dollars for schools, hospitals, public transport, and social support systems, the most necessary systems to ensure a safe and healthy childhood.
Communities lose funds when everyone is not counted. They miss the opportunity to build a healthy, safe and prosperous future for their children and their ability to shape their power and political voice.
