POTUS and The Republicans can’t decide to do something corrupt and automatically pull it off, just because they want to. There’s a way things work in #USA politics, and Trump is always going to have to cave to The US Constitution.

Make sure you're registered to vote and have your voice heard at the polls.

On top of all, the just say no approach is a #WeThePeople development and implementation of a long-term strategy that enables the voters to reject any negative proposal.

While teaching communications at an Orthodox Jewish Yeshiva in Queens, NY, בית מדרש לתלמוד https://lcm.touro.edu/ I was asked by one of my Rabbinical students if I had ever blown a Shofar. I then thought it was a trick question, but I learned that a shofar is supposed to be a chaotic, helpless wail. 100 blows. To the gut.

So am I very worried? Yes, I am. I have just finished reading a book by Masha Gessen —Surviving Autocracy— that in my thoughts may become prophetic.

I am a professor of literature who, unlike Jonathan Swift, would have taken Sir Francis Bacon’s side in the "Fable of the Spider and the Bee.” Like Bacon, I like to distinguish the difference between “men of experiment" and "men of dogma.” I trust the former.

I first met Michael Bloomberg when he held his farewell swan song Christmas Party for The NYC Press Corps at Gracie Mansion. https://www.bloomberg.com/company/

Bloomberg took the time to remind journalists of his accomplishments and once again restated that he loves New York City and plans to live here forever. There was no mention of his Bermuda home.

It is our America and we’re not going anywhere. The demographics include all Americans who identify as Hispanic or Latino ancestry.

As a journalist and educator, this year, I’m going to use Hispanic Heritage Month for special purposes, to educate our 60 thousand monthly visitors, according to Google Analytics on our rich heritage that we are in danger of letting slip through our fingers and hard-working hands.
