As a foreign-born couple, my wife and I have both been victims of discrimination. We have felt stalking and harassment, which is protected under the law.

In fact, our Condo President was recorded making comments about evicting us and was recently arrested by the NYPD after he and the management representative were caught red-handed stealing our surveillance camera and a NY Judge approved a 2-year order of protection for us and our property. He is now using the other board members and management to continue his harassment.

If you want to say “no” in Russian politely, all you have to do is add thank you after no, like you would in English or just like we do in Spanish. So, “No, thank you” in Russian will be nyet, ni nada, which means No, there is no need.

Warning Signs

A president has the title, but a real leader has the people. Whenever a so-called leader starts acting like a dictator, shutting down.whistleblowers, embarrassing elected officials, firing anyone who dares to challenge him, we have a toxic national problem.

And that’s not just because of his bad behavior, but because it creates an environment in which everyone can become afraid, intimidated and often willing to throw others under the bus, just to stay on top. Who writes the playbook: Scorched earth and will it work?
