Manafort returned to federal court for a final court appearance, 17 months after the first indictment of Robert Mueller's special counsel investigation brought him in to face a judge and five months after his help to Mueller's investigation fell apart.

Judge Amy Berman Jackson of the US District Court in Washington, DC, sentenced him to 43 months and now PJ may spend 7.5 years in prison.

No Phones Allowed

As a young cub reporter, I recall covering news inside the courthouse during the Ted Bundy murder trial. Back then, there was a real need for quarters and also the necessity and urgency to stake out a nearby payphone for breaking news, because, despite cells, mobile phones are still not allowed inside the courthouse.

For those who may not know what I'm talking about, a payphone is a coin-operated public telephone, often located in a telephone booth or a privacy hood, with pre-payment by inserting money or by billing a credit or debit card, or a telephone card.

The hard truth about a dirty little secret of some relationships between America's rich and famous and how they bought higher ed and bribed US BORED of Education Officials.

It's worth pointing out the real reason admissions fraud worked is that institutions for higher learning are willing to give some students an unfair advantage.

Killing USA Softly

Defenseless #USA is a serious thing to say but being without a Pentagon Chief and Secretary of Defense is yet another way POTUS has failed to drain the swamp today.

Also, his Muslim ban, reducing regulations, Summits with dictators and thugs, while at the same time alienating our allies have had no real staying power.

He’s Just Not Worth It

“He’s just not worth it” - Is this brilliant messaging? Seriously? Honestly? Does this blow up a GOP campaign in advance of 2020?

Is US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi asking the GOP, do you insist on defending a pathetic orange hating bully? Then, go ahead and have it your way and make sure you have fun with that.

Pelosi thinks the current President of the United States is unfit for office and that ethically and intellectually she says, "He's just not worth it."

Climate Change and Turbulence

As someone who does not like to fly, I do not appreciate reading the following developments, considering the recent hardware, software and everywhere fears I have of flying.

Researchers are linking climate change to increased turbulence. Anthropogenic climate change is expected to strengthen the vertical wind shears at aircraft cruising altitudes within the atmospheric jet streams.

Mexico Will Never Pay

Do the math, the currency exchange rate between 1 United States Dollar equals 19.49 Mexican Pesos. How many pesos are 8 Billion Dollars?

Trump promised over and over again that Mexico would pay for his wall, so why does he now want American taxpayers to pay? And since we do not even know if @Realdonaldtrump pays any taxes, why should #USA be forced to pay?

The Boeing Company is an American multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes, rotorcraft, rockets, satellites, and missiles worldwide.

Are there similarities between the Ethiopian Airlines crash and the crash of a Lion Air flight last year? Both planes were brand new Boeing 737 Max 8s. What about the others?

Americans are becoming more comfortable by admitting they use or have tried cannabis, and the numbers are there to prove it.

It is difficult to ignore that pot use is becoming more and more acceptable. The latest polling reveals an unprecedented record high in the percentage of adults who approve of marijuana.

64% of the respondents said that it should be made legal. Another study by an academic institution revealed that 52% of adults 18 and over have tried marijuana. And of those that have tried it, 44% are current users.
