Elephant Hunting

I have no political affiliation, but I do like elephants. Elephants are categorized as the African bush elephant, the African forest elephant, and the Asian elephant.

Female elephants live in tight-knit matrilineal family groups, some of which are made up of more than ten members, including three pairs of mothers with offspring, and are led by the matriarch which is often the eldest female. As a male elephant matures, he spends more time at the edge of his group and associates with outside males and other families. Are you beginning to get the picture and visualize this image?

Damn The Voters

Submitted by ub on

Today on Capitol Hill is all about Damn The Voters, full speed ahead. Tax breaks for the rich or for the middle class are the question of the day? This is the first cut for corporations for corporations.

GOP leaders are expected to vote on their tax bill despite heavy opposition. Members on both sides of the isle leaders have voiced concern over the measure claiming it benefits corporations and high-earners. Republican US Senator Ron Johnson has said he's against the Senate Republican tax plan as its written.

Also, this tax legislation could slash production of affordable housing across the USA at a time when supply is near historic lows, according to those who know.

The Fight Before Christmas

Twas the fight before Christmas, when all through the House and Senate, not a creature was caring, not even a louse. The allegations were hung on the free press with care, and now it's being used as a political distraction to repeal OBAMACARE. http://town-hall.doseofnews.com #POTUS http://politics.doseofnews.com/

This can also be called the knight before Christmas because Jeff Sessions was born on December 24, 1946, and to this very day, this lone white knight still delivers sessions of testimonial dynamite as he continues to fight for legal might. Folks, you cant make up an intertwined story like this one. Believe me, that I can tell you.

Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III was the first US Republican Senator to support Donald Trump's campaign. This move gained him the US Attorney General post in the resident's cabinet. Then all hell broke loose.

Since he first testified during his confirmation hearings before Senate colleagues, he has changed his story several times. The versions differ while Jeff Sessions' testimony under oath. The US Senate testimony changed by the time he appeared before US House members. But which session is to believe if they contradict each other, or was it a classic case of selective amnesia?

When Jeff Sessions returned to Capitol Hill, he faced new questions about his past testimony regarding the Trump team’s ties to Russia, new indictments and plea deals by special counsel Robert Mueller, revelations about the campaign’s ties to Wikileaks, and Alabama senatorial candidate sexual misconduct scandal.

He's Back!!!

Following a 12-day trip to Asia, US President Trump comes back home to where he really belongs. Was it the fella in Manilla or something else. That, I can tell you. Believe me!!!

His trip saw American and Chinese companies agree to a dozen deals worth $9 billion on the same exact day he was away and began to play in China, then an escalating war of words with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and started off saying he believed Russian President Vladimir Putin's claims that Russia did not interfere in last year's election, then sort of reversing himself, followed by claims that he brought up human rights in the Philippines may have ruined his victory lap.

City Images is astonished and alarmed that a US president attacks the free press, has not insisted that our allies respect human rights, does not promote democracy, or has not supported our US Constitutionally protected freedoms during his taxpayer-funded Asian trip.

On the last leg of his global journey, President Trump refused to condemn Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte for extrajudicial killings in his Asian nation and allowed him to shut down questions from reporters about Duterte’s human rights record.

Bookselling is the commercial trading of books, the retail and distribution of the publishing process. A book giving system takes this one step beyond.

The founding of libraries in 300 BC stimulated the energies of the Athenian booksellers. In Rome, toward the end of the republic, it became the fashion to have a library, and Romans continued this flourishing trade.

The modern system of bookselling dates from soon after the introduction of printing. In the course of the 16th century, the Low Countries for a time became the chief center of the bookselling world.

Democracy is not dead but it has taken a beating over the past year. As the Trump-Pence administration systematically increases its attacks on the news media, they must realize one way or the other that the US needs a free press.

A critical, independent and investigative press is the lifeblood of democracy. Freedom of the press is one of the foundations of liberty, and must never be restrained by any government officials.

Political Puppet?

Has a recent whirlwind Asia tour rekindled, re-enforced, intensified and purified some doubtful bromances?

Pull the string and he'll wink at you, he's your puppet
He'll do funny things if you want him to, he's your puppet
He's yours to have and to hold
Vladimir, you've got full control of your puppet

Pull another string and he'll kiss your butt, he's your puppet
Snap your finger and he'll turn you some flips, he's your puppet
Xi's every wish is his command
All he's gotta do is wiggle his little hand
he's your puppet, your big old puppet

He's a big fat toy, just a funny boy
