While politicians on both sides of the aisle are retiring, a shake-up is urgently needed in all parties because too many longtime officials, members of Congress, US Senators, state and local politicians have become indebted to special interest groups by massive donations to their campaigns which represent dangers to our democratic system.

USA voters should consider a clean sweep and search for new leaders who are satisfied with their base salaries and work for the greater good of everyone.

Hurricane Maria is one of the worst natural disasters on record and caused catastrophic damages and a major humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico. These are American citizens, so don't they deserve the same treatment as any others?

Real Bigotry

Everyone knows that @realbigotry or #white-supremacy goes against global values. Intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself should never be practiced.

Any person who is obstinately or intolerantly devotes their own opinions and prejudices especially one who treats the members of a group with hatred and intolerance.

No one should be intolerantly devoted to their own opinions and prejudices or treat the members of any racial or ethnic group with hatred and intolerance. PERIOD END OF SENTENCE!!!

Forsaken Puerto Rico

One hundred years ago, more than a million Puerto Ricans were granted United States citizenship. It wasn’t exactly a gift because President Woodrow Wilson asked Congress for a declaration of war on Germany. The point of extending American citizenship to Puerto Ricans was to get 20,000 to participate in the World War.

Folks around the world are getting frustrated and finally waking up to realize their government leaders are not only failing but also ripping them off.

According to credible data, in addition to politics, the status of the economy is strongly related to people’s trust in their government.

PR Catastrophe Continues

It has been almost one month since Maria slammed into the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico on September 20, and the US island is still reeling from the devastation the hurricane caused. As Hispanic Heritage month ends, this is what the US government finds on its plate. There are over 3 million Puerto Ricans, who are American citizens living in this US territory, which is larger than 21 states.

Where's Our Curiosity?

The act of being curious is a quality related to inquisitive thinking, exploration, investigation, and learning, evident by observation in humans and other animals, but perhaps not so much with many members of our so-called leaders.

What does everyone want most in life? For the vast majority of us, the answer is to be happy and healthy. More than 10,000 people from 48 countries on earth were surveyed and said happiness was more important than IQ, success, intelligence, knowledge, maturity, wisdom, relationships, wealth and meaning in life. It's not mansions, furniture, jewelry, fine art, designer clothes, expensive cars, boats, helicopters, or airplanes.

Happiness is a good thing. Yet, my professional and my personal experience have shown me that when we place too much focus on what we think will make all of us happy, we can lose track of what actually does.

Has the desire to build, learn or know more about many things, also called inquisitiveness lost and forgotten?

Under any other name... concern, star, interest, eagerness, inquisitiveness, investigation, inquiring, knowledge... When will people sincerely say what they are thinking and what they really want?

#VacationBenefits

Thankfully, these last couple of days were an opportunity for Yirong and me to get away and enjoy the benefits of another family vacation.

We had an opportunity to once again be with my late father’s sole survivor sibling and his wife. It was also a romantic tropical getaway, and another cost-effective journey to introduce my wife to members of my extended family and good old friends.
