Tens of thousands of Puerto Ricans from the devastated island are beginning to arrive in hubs like NY and Florida as their friends, family members and community activists are preparing to do whatever they can to help these American citizens.

They are all US citizens who once lived in Puerto Rico but have now opted for a necessary exodus to the US mainland, searching for safety and security following the human disaster caused by hurricane Maria.

While Americans in Puerto Rico continue their two-week-old nightmare and wait for a real USA lifeline to their growing nightmare, those victims and journalists say thanks, to all public safety officials and first responders who are tirelessly working hard to save lives, but why does POTUS keep Tweeting statements and accusations without proof and then appears to be enjoying another weekend at his posh NJ golf course? https://dearmrpresident.org/ #USA http://town-hall.doseofnews.com #POTUS http://politics.doseofnews.com/#TABA

With a GOP majority in The US House of Representatives, as well as in The US Senate, why have there been no campaign promises kept? Whatever happened to getting tired of winning and I'll make great deals?

Why can't he point to one legislative accomplishment, but instead he has undertaken an unprecedented series of regulatory rollbacks, executive orders, and enforcement changes as well as guidelines by rewriting and inventing rules for industries ranging from entertainment to sports, including issues from sexual assault to anti-discrimination protections?

Eve Of Destruction

The eastern world, it is explodin',
Violence flarin', bullets loadin',
You're old enough to kill but not for votin',
You don't believe in war, but what's that gun you're totin',
And even the Jordan river has bodies floatin',
But you tell me over and over and over again my friend,
Ah, you don't believe we're on the eve of destruction.

Don't you understand, what I'm trying to say?
And can't you feel the fears I'm feeling today?
If the button is pushed, there's no running away,
There'll be no one to save with the world in a grave,

The Taxman Taketh Away

Tax reform is all about showing me yours and I will be showing you mine. How can any so-called leader sell a tax plan if has not yet revealed his own taxes? Is do as I say and not as I do the POTUS way?

Some are accusing Trump of putting big companies first with his low tax plan. Others explain that a pig wearing lipstick is still a pig any way you look at it.

A 20 percent top corporate rate; 25 percent for “certain” pass-through businesses; three individual rates of 12, 25 and 35 percent with instructions for committees to add a fourth higher bracket if they choose?

The Need to Kneel

Before anyone says athletes have nothing to do with politics or breaking barriers we have this news to share....

First of all, when some folks pray, they kneel. Following the year-old controversy that Colin Kaepernick started, more NFL players and other athletes are reacting by sitting or taking a knee before games to protest what they perceive as racial inequities in the nation’s criminal justice system. No Coattails Kicked Tails

Alabama Firebrand judge Roy Moore won the Republican primary runoff for US Senate kicking the butt of an appointed incumbent backed by President Donald Trump Vice President Mike Pence and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Moore, a Bible-thumping preacher who has been removed from the bench several times vowed to return the knowledge of God and the Constitution of the United States to Congress.

The tendency for political party leaders to attract votes for other candidates of the same party in an election is supposed to be victorious for candidates who will often win because they're “on the coattails” of the Senate majority leader, the vice president, and the president. Not any longer for Trump's #GOP Posse. http://town-hall.doseofnews.com #TrumpPosse

So much for political coattails and is he tired of winning yet? Is this STRANGE #GOP politics and doesn't it also seem that @POTUS and @VP are turning into Amos 'n' Andy because no one believes or takes it seriously. https://youtu.be/griMGY-JLvo and they keep losing time and again? https://youtu.be/ZmnOJSUkjrA

Help Puerto Rico

Americans in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands are danger and need our help now. Puerto Rico governor pleads with Congress: "We need more help" http://hill.cm/rIp3of9

In my City Island neighborhood alone, one proud Puerto Rican veteran, who we spoke with is opening his home for family members who are arriving, including his mother, aunts, and cousins. The Bronx is located in the northernmost of NYC, with an overwhelming number of Latinos. In fact, The US Census says the NYC borough is the most diverse area in our entire nation.

Meanwhile, as Congress considers dealing with the devastation, they are pushing for quick approval of relief funding and bracing for a political financing brawl for these American territories.
