After sending Tweets about Rocketman and others, @POTUS has made his first statement as president at the United Nations and returns to the UN this morning for his first address to the 193-members of the world body's general assembly. However, the leaders of China and Russia are not expected there.

While tensions increase with North Korea, with a new terrorist attack in London and renewed efforts to bring peace to the Middle East, Trump will have plenty of topics to choose from for his speech, which is expected to be more than 140 long.

US President Trump meets with 120-plus world leaders at The United Nations, beginning Monday with a focus on UN reform. His visit to the United Nations came after he's badmouthing the organization and pushing to slash funding for the world body.

He will also host a dinner with Latin American leaders to discuss problems plaguing Venezuela. In addition, Trump hopes to rally countries against North Korea's nuclear threats, but many leaders are still reeling from a testy Trump that was encountered during earlier global summits. Trump’s national security team is reportedly concerned by his frequent questioning over the value of American presence around the world.

The State of Sanctuary

A sanctuary city limits cooperation with the federal government's effort to enforce immigration law. Sanctuary cities reduce the fear of deportation and possible family break-up among those who are in the country illegally so that such people will be more willing to report crimes, use health and social services, and enroll their kids in school.

These policies prohibit public employees from questioning people about their immigration status and refuses requests by immigration authorities to detain people beyond their release date if they are jailed for breaking local law.

As the capital of England and the United Kingdom London is a 21st-century target for terrorists with its history stretching back to Roman times.

An explosive device was detonated on a Tube train in south-west London during this morning's rush hour commute. According to Scotland Yard, the blast, at Parsons Green station on a District Line train from Wimbledon, is being investigated as an act of terrorism.

Their story of the 2017 major league baseball season has yet to be written for the Cleveland Indians, but that magical baseball team which could never lose, and the most important chapter is yet to be written.
