PRIVACY COST$?

The Federal Communications Commission has proposed the first-ever privacy protections governing Broadband Internet Service Providers. This could become one of the biggest wins for online privacy we’ve seen in a long time.

However, the broadband carriers are putting up a fight. Big companies like Verizon and Comcast want the freedom to sell our data to the highest bidder. They are lobbying the FCC hard to weaken new rules so they can continue monitoring our data.

Long Lives The Queen and also her husband. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is being honored with royal and religious festivities commemorating her 90th birthday this entire weekend.

Though her 90th birthday was on April 21, it is traditionally celebrated in June to make most of mother nature's kindness to the people of Great Britain during the summer season.

Today's Trooping the Color parade drew huge crowds around central London. Tomorrow, the queen and royal family members are schedules to attend a charity for the Patron’s Lunch, a picnic on The Mall.

PRIVACY vs SECURITY

Encryption might enable absolute privacy but national security must be allowed to prevail. The problem lies in our government's definition of national security. However, access to private information is essential to keeping citizens safe.

In fact, there are cases where the authorities should be able to access encrypted data, like the California case which developed between Apple and the FBI over the San Bernardino shooting suspect's smartphone messages.

REPUBLICANT?

Does the GOP leadership wish the Republican party could topple The Donald and find a real presidential candidate and a sane nominee at the national convention next month? Some say no way, while others worry in dismay.

However, nothing will change unless the next election brings sweeping changes to Congress, where Democrats are in the majority.
