NO REST AU RANT

Submitted by ub on

My family and friends recently went to a restaurant and spent a couple of hundred dollars for food and drinks and I don't know if my limited diet plan had something to do with it, but I think eating out is totally overrated.

I know this sounds paranoid. But I know of many people who are convinced that some servers and chefs don't respect the food they place on our plates.
Counterproductive work behavior statistics indicate that six percent of service employees admit to having contaminated a customer’s food. That’s according to one study conducted by university researchers.

Cuban Caudillo Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz, who is well known for long and drawn out speeches which have literally lasted hours, may have delivered his final farewell speech.

Saying his communist ideas are still valid, the 89 year old dictator, who took power following his Cuban revolution against dictator Fulgencio Batista, is now visibly in frail health.

Fidel's final farewell took place on the final day of Cuba's Communist Party Congress. His tone was somber, but defiant, while he reminded his audience of his advanced age but still embracing his own communist ideals.

This graphic map indicates the dangers facing one third of the world’s population, which is at risk of catching the Zika virus, according to Oxford University in England researchers.

The study does not guarantee that this number of people will actually contract the mosquito-borne virus, which was causally linked last week to microcephaly and other birth defects.

How NYC Counties May Vote?

NYC 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 12th, 13th and 15th districts

This doesn’t make much sense on the surface. The Bronx, Brooklyn and Manhattan don’t look alike. I’m a Latino from City Island, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The Bronx has seen changes over the past 3 decades, with the percentage of Latino residents rising from 34 percent in 1980 to 55 percent today. The black population has risen by 7 percent in the past four years.

There has been much talk about "NY Values" during the political camp pain, but we are finally seeing and hearing that you can never tell what is going to come out of the mouth of a front runner besides hot air. Seriously?

Its Up To You, NY

We'll start spreading the news by stating that New York registered voters head to the polls as politicians on both side of the aisle are claiming home field advantage.

From a Buffalo to NYC, both parties' presidential candidates have spread out across the state in a quest for votes, a surreal scene for The Empire State, which hasn't experienced contested White House primaries in decades.

Nothing's Certain But Death and Taxes

The old idea is actually a phrase attributed to Benjamin Franklin, who in a 1789 letter penned the phrase “Our new Constitution is now established, and has an appearance that promises permanency; but in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes...

Today is Tax Day and this dreaded day was made worse by being on Monday. Financial procrastinators had an extra weekend to file their taxes, and thos lucky enough to live in New England can thank Patriot's Day for extending the deadline until Tuesday.
